State Senator Lynda Culver | Pennsylvania
Senator Lynda Schlegel Culver and Representative Michael Stender are organizing a meeting to assist local residents in understanding the environmental permitting process in Pennsylvania. The event is scheduled for Monday, August 14, at 6 p.m. at the Shikellamy High School Auditorium.
Culver explained the motivation behind the meeting: "My staff and I often hear from local residents and business owners with questions about permitting processes. The purpose of this meeting with regulatory entities is for the public to understand who they are, what they do and how to communicate with them."
Stender emphasized the educational aspect of the gathering: "We are bringing representatives from these agencies to educate the public on procedures and requirements to issue permits."
The meeting will feature presentations from various organizations involved in regulatory and permitting procedures. These representatives will also be available before and after the session to answer questions from attendees.
The event is free and open to all members of the public. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., allowing time for attendees to engage with agency staff before the main program begins at 6 p.m.
