Senator Lynda Schlegel Culver has announced the allocation of over $6.1 million in state funding to school districts within the 27th Senate District. The funds are designated for school facility improvement projects.

The grants have been distributed through the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Public School Facilities Improvement Grant Program. This program supports public school districts and area career and technical schools by funding eligible facility improvement projects.

"I am happy to see investments to school districts across the district and the Commonwealth," stated Culver. "These funds will provide vital infrastructural repairs and upgrades to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students. Providing our students with quality facilities will help them focus on their education and future."

The Commonwealth Financing Authority, an independent agency under the Department of Community and Economic Development, manages numerous economic development and community improvement programs in Pennsylvania.
