State Sen. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-27) and state Rep. JoAnne Stehr (R-107) will cohost a Damaged License Plate Replacement event and a Lemonade with Your Legislators event in Shamokin on Monday, July 8. Both events are free, and R.S.V.P.s are appreciated.

“It is important to make state agencies as accessible as possible,” Culver said. “Hosting events that bring agency specialists and elected officials to the general public allows people the opportunity to have their needs met and feel like they are truly being heard by the people in Harrisburg.”

The Damaged License Plate Replacement event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at Stehr’s Shamokin office located at 300 E. Independence St. Local police and specialists from PennDOT will assist registrants with paperwork. Attendees are asked to pre-register on Culver’s website at SenatorCulver.com or by calling her Mount Carmel office at 570-339-5937.

The Lemonade with Your Legislators event will be held from 2-3 p.m. at the Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library located at 210 E. Independence St. Residents are invited to come share their thoughts and ideas about state government. Those interested in attending should call Stehr’s office at 570-648-8017.

“It is essential for us to connect with our community members directly,” said Stehr. “These events provide a unique opportunity for residents to engage with their elected officials and get assistance with state services right in their own neighborhood. We look forward to meeting with everyone and addressing the issues that matter most to them.”

More information about Culver is available online at SenatorCulver.com, while more information about Stehr can be found at RepStehr.com.
