Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center is advancing its expansion project to enhance healthcare services in northeastern Pennsylvania. Beginning April 14, construction teams will extend underground utility lines across the east campus to support the construction of an 11-story patient tower, projected for completion in 2028. During this period, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, the road between the Richard and Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital and the construction site will be limited to one-way traffic.
A flagging crew will be on site to assist drivers in navigating the modified route. Visitors should allocate extra time for potential delays, and drivers are advised to stay alert for new traffic patterns.
Patients heading to outpatient appointments at the Medical Office Building or the Pearsall Heart Hospital are advised to:
• Use the east entrance from East Mountain Boulevard.
• Arrive on the east campus 30 minutes before their appointment, particularly if unfamiliar with the layout.
• Follow campus signs to locate appropriate parking.
• Consider bringing a companion for assistance if necessary.
The Medical Office Building offers a dedicated parking garage, while the Medical Office Building, Pearsall Heart Hospital, and emergency room have free valet service for patients, minimizing the need for walking. Additionally, free campus shuttles are available for patient transport to and from parking areas and facilities.
