Borough of Middleburg issued the following announcement on May 6.
BID NOTICE
Sealed bids will be received by Middleburg Borough, Snyder County until 11:00 A.M., prevailing time, on May 26,
2022 on PennBid, for the following contract:
01-2022 Borough Road Project
The Borough roadways to be included in the contracts will be indicated on the bid forms provided by the Borough.
Bidding documents and specifications may be obtained at no cost on PennBid (www.pennbid.net).
All bid proposals for both contracts must be submitted on PennBid and must be accompanied by a Certified or
Bank Check; or Bid Bond naming as payee or obligee, as applicable, the Middleburg Borough Council, in the
amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide
Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
A mandatory Pre-bid meeting for Contract 01-2022 Borough Road Project will be held at 10:00 AM on May
19, 2022 at the Middleburg Borough Municipal Building, 13 North Main Street, Middleburg, PA 17842.
All questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted via the “Questions” feature within PennBid.
Bid results for Contract 01-2022 will be available on PennBid Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. All bids will
be reviewed and awards will take place at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Middleburg Borough Council on
Tuesday, June 14, 2022. The Borough Council reserves the right to accept and/or reject all or any submitted bids as
a complete bid package or as individual bids. The Borough Council reserves the right to add or delete streets from
the scope of work.
Bids may be held by the owner for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of
reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
