Prizes will be gift cards to businesses of the winners' choice.
Point System
- 1 point for a picture posted to Facebook or Instagram with the #sunburyswag competition hashtag wearing or holding swag from a Sunbury business or organization between 12/2 @ 5pm and 12/24 @5pm.
- Definition of Swag = something you can wear or carry to show your support of your favorite local businesses. Such as a tshirt, hat, coffee mug or bag.
- 1 extra point - picture was taken at the business premises
- 1 extra point - Hashtag or Tag the business in your post
- 1 extra point - Hashtag a sponsor, such as #aereaevents (if other sponsors arise, we will add those to the list)
- 1 extra point per unique item of swag in the photo, same items worn or held by different people will count as unique items.
- Swag items must be durable in nature to allow them to be used to continue to promote businesses after the competition.
- The points go to the person who makes the post, but multiple people can make the same post if they are in the picture with their swag!
- Non-humans with social media accounts will be allowed.
- Duplicate posts only count once. Each competitor may only have entry picture per unique business/organization swag per day. If there are multiple entries from the same person for the same entity, the one with the most points will be counted.
- All decisions of the committee & sponsors are final.
- PM questions to Old Towne Neighborhood Group (on Facebook) or reach out to Meghan directly.
- Maximum of 20 points awarded per day
- Competition starts 12/2 @ 5pm and ends 12/24 @5pm
- You are welcome to participate or to not participate. We welcome you sharing the event and getting involved in any way that works for you.
- You may have people coming to your doorstep asking to buy swag... Please be gracious if you do not have any.
- You do not need to give swag away. The goal is for people to support your business because they love your business and the town.
- Maybe offer to take the picture for your customer or take a group shot with your employees?!
- This is not limited to retail businesses. Service businesses and places of work which are not retail are welcome!
- If you don't have any swag and would like to obtain some items, please reach out to local vendors, i.e. AdOne, Meiirzani, Driftwood and Sage, and others who would be willing to get you some items. Don't go overboard. There may not be a ton of interest in the first year, but we hope to spark some fun!
