Union County listed on PA DEP Drought Watch List

0Comments

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) has declared a Drought Watch for several counties in Pennsylvania.  Union County is one of the counties on the list for those that are under a Drought Watch listed in a press release we received as of Wednesday, September 7, 2022.  This watch is intended to put residents on notice that water levels are below normal levels and to encourage residents to voluntarily reduce their individual water usage by 5-10%.

Therefore, we are asking our residents to voluntarily reduce their water consumption.  This can be accomplished by only running full loads of laundry or dishes, reducing or eliminating landscape and lawn irrigation, aesthetic water use, eliminating exterior cleaning of pavements, as well as vehicle washing only as necessary.

Thank you for doing your part to conserve water.
