State Rep. Robert Leadbeter | Pennsylvania 109th Legislative District
As the Pennsylvania Legislative Session for 2025-26 begins, state Representative Robert Leadbeter, a Republican from Columbia, is taking steps to address significant issues in the Commonwealth. Leadbeter is proposing 29 bills, emphasizing his dedication to delivering conservative solutions in the upcoming legislative term.
"Being in the minority doesn’t mean sitting on the sidelines," said Leadbeter. "It means working even harder to ensure our values are represented and that my constituents see real progress in Harrisburg."
The bills proposed by Leadbeter tackle various critical matters, including regulatory reform for job growth and parental rights in education. His background as a small business owner, corporate executive, and founding member of the PA House Freedom Caucus influences his legislative efforts. Leadbeter emphasizes reducing taxes, supporting small businesses, and creating opportunities for families.
Recent legislative efforts from Leadbeter include measures to combat human trafficking, expand property tax relief for seniors, and enhance law enforcement and border security, aiming to keep Pennsylvania communities safe.
Among the 29 initiatives are two notable proposals: opposing the hiring of undocumented workers at state universities to protect job opportunities for U.S. citizens and terminating taxpayer-funded subsidies for the film industry. These reflect Leadbeter’s focus on fairness, taxpayer protection, and prudent use of government resources.
"Our state thrives when we get government out of the way, prioritize fiscal responsibility, protect individual freedoms, and defend family values," Leadbeter stated. "These proposals are just the beginning of what I hope will be a transformative session for Pennsylvania."
As the General Assembly gears up for the new session, Leadbeter is determined to deliver results that mirror the values and concerns of his constituents. His experience and leadership are expected to make a notable impact during the new two-year term.
