Senator Lynda Schlegel Culver has announced a state grant of $100,000 to aid improvements on Market Street in Bloomsburg Town Borough, Columbia County. The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) approved the grant as part of its Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) program.

The MTF program aims to support projects that enhance transportation and community revitalization efforts. "This Multimodal Transportation Fund grant will enable Bloomsburg to move forward with important improvements to Market Street, a vital corridor in the heart of town," stated Culver. She emphasized that prioritizing this project is crucial for ensuring safer and more accessible travel for everyone and represents a significant investment in Bloomsburg's well-being.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority, an independent agency under the Department of Community and Economic Development, administers the Multimodal Transportation Fund. The MTF program was established through Act 89 to support projects modernizing transportation infrastructure and improving quality of life across Pennsylvania communities.
