State Sen. Lynda Schlegel Culver, representing Pennsylvania's 27th Senatorial District, joined her Republican colleagues in Harrisburg to announce the Senate Republicans' priorities for the 2023-24 legislative session. The focus will be on job protection, family empowerment, and defending freedoms.

"Today was my first full day as a member of the Senate and I was proud to join my fellow Republican Caucus members to outline an agenda for this session," Culver stated. She emphasized that addressing rising costs and ensuring financial security are essential concerns for her constituents.

The approach to protecting jobs involves ensuring energy independence, workforce development, and infrastructure improvement. Empowering families includes creating safe communities, addressing mental health needs, and ensuring access to quality education.

For many Pennsylvanians, defending freedom means limiting government involvement in their lives and maintaining confidence in electoral processes. Senate Republicans aim to build on previous efforts focused on tax structure improvements, aligning higher education with market needs, modernizing workforce laws, creating tax credits for key sectors like manufacturing and agriculture, advancing infrastructure projects, supporting mental health services, increasing educational opportunities, reducing regulation, and enhancing election integrity.
