Senator Lynda Schlegel Culver, representing Pennsylvania's 27th District, has cast her vote in favor of the state budget approved by the Senate. The budget is designed to fund core government functions without introducing new taxes or increasing existing ones.

In a statement following the vote, Sen. Culver emphasized the balanced nature of the budget and its timely approval. "The Senate approved a balanced, on-time state budget that would provide historic funding levels for schools and students while protecting taxpayers against any additional burden," she said.

Culver highlighted that the budget prioritizes both Pennsylvanians benefiting from government services and taxpayers who finance these programs. She stated, "This budget focuses on people – both the Pennsylvanians who benefit from government programs and services, and the taxpayers who fund them. The comprehensive spending plan includes bipartisan components and would lay a strong foundation for future state budgets."

The senator also noted that this fiscal plan marks a significant investment in education for Pennsylvania. "The fiscally responsible budget approved by the Senate would provide the largest state investment in education in Pennsylvania history," Culver added.
