FOIA Request to Buffalo Valley Regional Police Pension Plan Regarding Pension Rosters on September 20, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government affairs, we at North Central PA Times have submitted a request under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law for access to the pension rosters of the Buffalo Valley Regional Police Pension Plan.
The requested records include a list of all active and retired employees in the organization's pension fund for the year of 2023. We are seeking comprehensive data fields such as last name, first name, middle name, date of birth, employer name, employment start date, employment end date, salary, compensation type, amount, year, process date, last disbursement amount, disbursement frequency and 2023 contribution amount.
We believe that public access to these records is essential for maintaining transparency and holding public institutions accountable. As a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we feel it is our duty to provide this information. We have therefore requested a fee waiver as a media professional.
