Census Bureau: 82.1% of people in Columbia County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 65,013 citizens living in Columbia County in 2021, 82.1% were old enough to vote, equating to 53,395 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 25,552 were male, constituting 47.9%, and 27,843 were female, making up 52.1%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Columbia County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 79.1%.
