How many Black inmates were incarcerated in Montour County in March?

Two Black inmates were incarcerated in Montour County in March, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.

This is unchanged from the month before.

Brian Michael Peterson, a 23-year-old White man, was the youngest inmate in Montour County in March.

Incarceration rates in Pennsylvania have increased dramatically, imprisoning more than seven times the number of people in 2019 than in 1970.

Sentencing practices in Pennsylvania were found to have overwhelmingly impacted people of color.
