Officer McNelis volunteered her time to read “Thidwick the Big Hearted Moose” to Mrs. Waugh’s 4th grade class at Shamokin Area Elementary School
The kids enjoyed this fun treat and got to ask Officer McNelis lots of questions about police work. It’s moments like this that make the women and men in blue love what they do as police officers and as a department. Being a police officer is more than just chasing bad guys, it’s about making a positive impact on our children.
