Winterfest 2021, November 20

Christmas3

St. Columba Church recently issued the following announcement.

Winterfest 2021, November 20

WINTERFEST 2021: Our 17th annual Cr aft and Food Festival will take place on Saturday, November 20, in the gymnasium and cafeteria, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

We will showcase our famous “Dollar Tree”, our spectacular “Raffle Drawing” our delicious baked goods, and vendors are back! You have a choice to Dine-In or Take-Out food from our kitchen including a variety homemade soups, chili, Haluski, Pierogies, Steph’s subs, BBQ, Mac & cheese, pizza & hotdogs and once again offering Monsignor Lawrence’s Ham & Bean soup. Also, SPECIAL this year “Father Mowery’s Lasagna” is on the menu.

Another new addition, children of all ages can “ Stuff & Dress” their own animal!

Calling all “Christmas Bakers”: we need all sorts of Christmas treats for our baked goods table (fudge, tea breads, cookies, candies, snack items, pies and cakes). The raffle drawing would appreciate Lotto Scratch Offs or gift cards (connect with Ines at 570-387-8240). You can help the kitchen with gift cards to Giant and Weis (they can be brought to the Church Office or returned in the Student’s Family Folder).

We have 2 RAFFLES this year – #1 Set of Decorated Lantern Posts & Corn Hole game and #2 Handmade Quilt with Handmade Quilt Rack & Hand Crocheted Rug/Wall Hanging – We will be selling chances in the cafeteria after Masses and on the day of Winterfest. Par king is available in five parish lots including the new large area just off Iron Street. Volunteers are needed: please consider helping!

Proceeds benefit St. Columba School. You can call the school (570-784-5932) or the church office (570-784-0801) to volunteer. Thank you.
