Cost of college went up for all students at Susquehanna University

Tuition and fees rose 4 percent for 2018-19 at Susquehanna University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Pennsylvania students paid $47,290 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,820 more than the $45,470 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 629 students received grants or scholarships totaling $20.5 million and 498 students took out student loans totaling more than $4.3 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,396), 2,260 students used grants or scholarships totaling $70.6 million, and 1,690 students took out $11.5 million in federal student loans.
