Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Empire Beauty School-Shamokin Dam

Tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Empire Beauty School-Shamokin Dam, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Pennsylvania students paid $17,000 to attend the private for-profit school in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 94 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 25 students received grants or scholarships totaling $119,376 and 28 students took out student loans totaling more than $216,750.

Including all undergraduates (57), 44 students used grants or scholarships totaling $190,764, and 44 students took out $332,865 in federal student loans.
