Picking up medications and filling prescriptions has become more convenient for residents of Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania, with the opening of a new Geisinger Pharmacy. The retail pharmacy is located inside the Geisinger multi-specialty clinic at 300 Hollywood Blvd.

The integration of the pharmacy within the clinic allows patients to easily obtain their prescriptions and over-the-counter medications after their medical appointments. “Geisinger Pharmacy offers prescription discounts and price-matching on medications found at larger retail stores without any membership fees, including over-the-counter drugs,” according to the announcement. Pharmacists are available to address any medication-related questions from patients.

The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and can be contacted at 570-968-1326 for further inquiries. Additional information is accessible by visiting geisinger.org/pharmacy.

Geisinger, founded in 1915 by philanthropist Abigail Geisinger, is a prominent provider of value-based care serving urban and rural communities across central and northeastern Pennsylvania. It generates over $8 billion annually across its network of 163 care sites, including ten hospital campuses. Geisinger Health Plan serves more than half a million members through various plans.

With an extensive workforce exceeding 27,000 employees—including approximately 1,800 employed physicians—Geisinger has a significant economic impact on Pennsylvania’s economy estimated at $16.8 billion. The organization joined Risant Health in 2024 to further enhance value-based care nationwide.
