State Rep. Robert Leadbeter (R-Columbia) will host his third annual Veterans Expo on September 24 at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds. The event is organized in partnership with the Bloomsburg Fair Association and aims to provide veterans and military personnel with information about available resources.

“Our veterans have served valiantly to defend our freedoms, and it’s important we give back by supplying information on resources available to them,” said Leadbeter. “We are honored to hold this event once again to show our gratitude and support for those who displayed the utmost courage by serving our country.”

Veterans, as well as active and retired military members, will receive free admission to the Bloomsburg Fair upon presenting proof of service.

The schedule includes a veterans ceremony from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Free Stage, featuring Maj. Gen. John R. Pippy, adjutant general of Pennsylvania, as keynote speaker. Stacy Garrity, Pennsylvania Treasurer and retired U.S. Army Reserve Colonel, will be a special guest at the event.

The expo itself will run from 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m., located at the rear of the Education Building on the fairgrounds, offering veterans an opportunity to connect with care providers and learn more about benefits and opportunities.

Those seeking additional information can contact Leadbeter’s Catawissa district office at 570-387-0246.
