SCRANTON – The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) has invited Sarah Triano, MS, director of the Center for Learning Excellence at Geisinger College of Health Sciences, to speak at its annual Learn Serve Lead conference in November.
The conference is a significant educational event for the academic medicine community. Triano will be part of a panel discussing the Clinical Accommodations Guide for Undergraduate Medical Education, which addresses barriers faced by medical students with disabilities during clinical training.
The guide includes 75 accommodations, categorized by clinical task and barrier. Panelists will share insights, real-world examples, and strategies to implement these accommodations despite challenges such as limited resources and costs.
Learn Serve Lead is scheduled for Nov. 1 – 5 in San Antonio.
