Geisinger will hold drive-through appreciation dinners for local military veterans at 12 sites across its service area on Thursday, November 6. The events are scheduled from 3 to 5:30 p.m., with the State College location operating from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

The dinners are free for U.S. military veterans and one guest each. Geisinger will serve the meals in a drive-through format. Last year, about 2,500 meals were distributed during the event.

Veterans interested in participating should register themselves and a guest by visiting go.geisinger.org/vetsdinner2025 or calling 570-293-7200. Registration closes on Thursday, October 30, and servings are limited.

Locations offering the dinners include Bloomsburg, Danville, Jersey Shore, Lewistown, Mifflintown, Mount Pocono, Muncy, Pittston, Scranton (Nay Aug Park), Shamokin (Coal Township), State College (Port Matilda), and Wilkes-Barre.

Geisinger is a nonprofit healthcare system serving urban and rural communities in central and northeastern Pennsylvania. It operates over 160 care sites—including ten hospital campuses—and runs an insurance plan covering more than half a million members. The organization employs more than 27,000 people and has an estimated economic impact of $16.8 billion in Pennsylvania annually. In 2024, Geisinger joined Risant Health to further value-based care initiatives nationwide.
