The Geisinger Health Foundation has received a $40,000 grant from the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania (FCFP) to improve equipment for its Life Flight program in Williamsport and nearby areas.
The grant will be used to buy advanced medical and safety equipment for Life Flight’s critical care transport services. This upgrade aims to strengthen the program’s ability to deliver emergency air transport care in north-central Pennsylvania.
“For more than 40 years, Life Flight has been a trusted and vital resource for our communities,” said Nancy Lawton-Kluck, chief philanthropy officer at Geisinger. “This generous support from the First Community Foundation Partnership strengthens our ability to respond quickly and safely when every second counts.”
Geisinger Life Flight responds to over 3,000 emergencies each year, offering rapid transport and specialized care for trauma, cardiac, stroke, and pediatric patients throughout Pennsylvania. The new equipment is expected to help maintain high standards of clinical care and reliability.
The funding highlights FCFP’s ongoing commitment to regional health and safety through targeted philanthropic efforts. Both organizations are working together to ensure that emergency resources remain prepared for future needs.
The First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania focuses on growing local giving, supporting area organizations, and addressing key community issues in Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Union Counties as well as neighboring regions through grants and scholarships.
