Geisinger College of Health Sciences is set to host two free seminars focused on estate planning and long-term care preparation. These events, featuring experts from Colbert & Grebas, P.C., will be held at Geisinger College of Health Sciences in Scranton.

The first seminar, titled “Estate Planning for All Ages – Get Your Estate Plan in Order,” is scheduled for June 18 at 5 p.m. It will cover foundational aspects of estate planning, including planning for incapacity and death. Attendees will learn about essential legal documents and how to create a plan tailored to their needs.

The second session, “Long-Term Care Planning – Why Is It Important,” will take place on July 16 at 5 p.m. This event will focus on financial planning, Medicaid eligibility, estate recovery, and dispelling myths about paying for care. Participants will gain insights into safeguarding assets and making informed decisions related to care needs.

Brenda Colbert and Kevin Grebas, both certified Elder Law Attorneys, will lead the seminars. They aim to provide practical guidance on these often misunderstood topics. “These seminars are designed to provide clear, practical guidance on topics that are often misunderstood or overlooked,” said Colbert. “We want to empower people to make informed decisions for themselves and their loved ones.”

Registration is required for those interested in attending the seminars and can be completed at go.geisinger.edu/estate.
