Senator Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-27) will hold a Damaged License Plate Replacement Event on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the First United Church of Christ in Middleburg.
The event is intended to help residents have their license plates inspected by local law enforcement. Plates that are peeling, blistered, discolored, or unreadable from 50 feet away may be eligible for free replacement.
“This event makes it simple for residents to replace damaged plates at no cost, ensuring their vehicles remain safe and compliant with PennDOT regulations,” Culver said. “I encourage anyone with a plate showing wear or damage to stop by.”
Police officers will be present to determine if plates qualify for replacement and will assist with the required paperwork. After applications are processed, PennDOT will mail replacement plates directly to vehicle owners.
Residents who wish to participate must bring both the license plate and the current registration card for the specific vehicle they want replaced. Pre-registration is encouraged through SenatorCulver.com or by calling 570-743-1918.
