HARRISBURG – Sen. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-27) today announced more than $330,000 in state grant funding has been awarded for transportation projects in Selinsgrove Borough and Perry Township, Snyder County. The grants were awarded through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA).

"Transportation projects can be expensive, and state grants can help ensure community projects are completed without further burdening local taxpayers," said Sen. Lynda Schlegel Culver. “The state funding will help replace a local bridge and widen a local road, both of which will benefit residents in these communities.”

Selinsgrove Borough was awarded a $130,000 grant to reconstruct and widen Industrial Park Road. Perry Township residents will benefit from more than $200,000 in grant funding to remove and replace the Cluck Ridge Road bridge.

The CFA was established in 2004 as an independent agency of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) to administer the commonwealth’s economic stimulus packages. Funding for these projects is being delivered through the DCED Multimodal Transportation Fund grant program, which provides financial support for projects to encourage economic development and ensure a safe and reliable transportation system for commonwealth residents.
